Insurance Networking News and IDC Financial Insights, an IDC company, announced the first annual "Voice of the Market" ranking for the insurance industry on May 21 at the Acord Loma Systems Forum. This ranking, the InsureTopTech, was exclusively driven by insurance companies in the United States and Canada and ranks the top insurance technology providers across several categories including insurance operations, developing products and/or optimizing workflow. Insurers were asked to name both the top technology firms that most add value to meeting their company objectives and to name the top up-and-coming firms that they rank as an important new technology provider. The respondents (insurance carriers) to the end user survey determined the InsureTopTech 2007 ranking. IDC Financial Insights spearheaded the surveys, data collection and analysis process for the rankings.
