In her role, Rachel Hunt is responsible for all IDC Financial Insights research, sales, marketing and conference activity in the EMEA region. Under her leadership and direction, the IDC Financial Insights' EMEA analyst teams deliver valuable analysis in a timely manner to enhance clients’ business decision-making capability on areas like Banking, Capital Markets and Risk Management. Ms Hunt’s primary objective is to ensure clients derive the maximum benefit from both the research programs and the subsequent ability to customize deliverables for individual business development needs.

Previously, Rachel Hunt was the EMEA Research Director, Banking, within IDC Financial Insights, covering all corporate and consumer oriented financial products and their underlying technology solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
 

Industry Expertise

With over fifteen years experience in the financial services technology industry both in the UK and France, Ms Hunt’s experience ranges from outsourcing to core systems transformation, through to regulatory and technological issues impacting banks in Europe today. She can provide strategic advice and support on a number of issues around the integration of delivery channels, core systems, customer information and payments.

Background

Prior to joining IDC Financial Insights, Ms Hunt was for a number of years global research manager for TEMENOS, a core systems vendor and prior to this at Perot System’s financial services division, where she advised on the go-to-market strategy in the banking industry. She also worked at the Sociétè Bordelaise de CIC in France and in a number of research consultancy organizations.

Education and Industry Affiliations

Ms Hunt has a Masters (with honors) in International Trade and Banking Services from the University of Bordeaux as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Paris XXII.
