Overview

This IDC Financial Insights report examines the quickly evolving electronic bank account management solution space, with a particular focus on a SWIFT-provided central utility. SWIFT's successful completion of the EBAM central utility pilot has demonstrated a natural extension of EBAM messaging. If the pilot leads to a commercially available solution, banks and corporates must assess the value a central utility can bring and decide whether to participate in it.

According to Jeanne Capachin, research vice president, Commercial Banking, "The EBAM central utility could be the catalyst to bring EBAM downmarket and provide the foundation for banks to automate some of the most basic account management activities."
