This IDC Financial Insights presentation provides results from the 2011 IDC Vertical Group Survey.

In early 2011, the IDC Vertical Group conducted a survey of more than 6,000 IT and communications budgets decision makers across industries in the U.S. regarding IT spending drivers, budgets, allocations, and future plans. This presentation analyzes the responses of the 366 banking end-users and provides valuable insight to both financial institutions and vendors on how financial institutions are managing tight IT budgets through continued difficult economic times. The questions responded to include topics such as key drivers of IT investment, reactions to economic conditions, use of cloud computing, key IT investment areas by tier, and planned outsourcing expenditures.
